How can I get ISoP member rate?
  • Members of ISoP are eligible for the “member” rate. If ISoP cannot verify your current membership, you will be charged the non-member rate.
  • Non-member rates automatically include one-year ISoP membership based on the selected fee category.
  • Information to activate your account and enjoy all ISoP membership benefits will be sent with your confirmation.
Who is eligible to student rate?

Full time graduate, post-graduate, or undergraduate (to qualify as student member, please provide proof of status/registration and ensure expiry date is stated e.g. November 2025).

What Is the Official Currency in Egypt?

The Egyptian pound is the official currency for the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The ISO code for the Egyptian pound is EGP, although LE is also frequently used as notation. In Arabic. Egyptian pounds are called "Gineih". 

Paper notes of the Egyptian currency are available in denominations of 200, 100, 50. 20, 10 and 5 EGP.

Will I Be Able to Go Online in Egypt?

If you don’t have roaming services enabled, all of Egypt’s major telecom operators offer temporary holiday lines for tourists. Visit any WE, Orange, Vodafone, or Etisalat shop and ask for a temporary line with plenty of minutes and internet data to last throughout your trip. If you are working remotely, you can also inquire about buying a MiFi device with a large data package. All telecom service providers will need to make copies of your passport in order to process the required paperwork. The majority of hotels offer free WiFi services for guests to use during their stay.

Do I need a visa to enter Egypt?

Unless you are a nationality exempt from an Egypt visa, you will need a visa.

What is the validity period of an Egypt visa?

e-Visa validity

You can stay in Egypt for a maximum of 30 days with an e-Visa. However, if you have a multiple entry visa, you can extend your stay up to 180 days.

Please note that each stay should not exceed 30 days over the course of 180 days on a multiple entry visa.

How long does it take to get an Egypt visa?

The processing of an Egypt e-Visa usually takes between 2 to 7 business days after submitting the application and meeting the visa requirements.

It is recommended to apply at least 7 days before your travel date to avoid unexpected delays. In contrast, Egypt visas applied for through embassies and consulates usually take longer to process and issue.
